Independent, not the OEM

Why an Independent Endoscope Repair Shop Exists
Original manufacturers built their service model around exchange. You send in a device, a different one comes back, and the price was set before anyone looked at what you sent. For some facilities that is the right trade. It is also how a department loses track of which serial numbers it owns and never learns what keeps failing.
The independent alternative is slower to explain and easier to live with. Your device comes to us, we open it, we tell you in writing what is wrong and what it costs, and you decide. The scope that goes back on your shelf is the scope that left it.
That is the whole difference, and it is why departments that have been surprised by an invoice tend to stay once they try an independent service arrangement.
The Range of Medical Scope Repair We Handle
Flexible scopes are the volume: colonoscopes, gastroscopes, duodenoscopes, bronchoscopes, ureteroscopes, and the ENT scopes that live in a clinic drawer. Rigid work covers laparoscopes, arthroscopes, hysteroscopes, cystoscopes, and the resectoscopes that take electrosurgical current all day.
Around those sit the parts of the chain that get blamed on the scope. Camera heads and couplers, fiber optic cables, and the video components that make an image look wrong when the optics are fine. We test them together rather than separately.
Beyond scopes we handle general and laparoscopic instrument sets, surgical power equipment, and ultrasound probes. If it comes back from a case damaged, it is worth asking. Start with flexible scope service or with the failure symptoms we see most often.
Who You Are Actually Buying Scope Repair From
This is a small operation on purpose. There is no regional call center, no account manager who has never touched a scope, and no queue between you and the person who knows what happened to your device.
What that buys you is a straight answer. When a device is going to take longer than expected, you hear it early. When the evaluation turns up something worse than the description, you hear that too, before anyone spends your money on it.
The bench sequence we follow on every device is written out in full on our repair protocol and testing page, which is usually what biomed asks for first.
How we work
How We Approach Every Medical Scope Repair
Five things that stay the same whether the device is a video colonoscope or a single hand instrument.
Diagnose before pricing
Every device is evaluated and documented before a number is attached to it. A quote written after the device is open is worth more than a quote written from a phone description.
Nothing proceeds without approval
You see an itemized written quote and you decide. If you decline, you owe nothing and the device goes back to you in the condition it arrived.
Independent of every manufacturer
We are not authorized by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any maker. That means no exchange programs and no incentive to steer you toward buying a replacement.
One vendor across the whole chain
Scopes, camera heads, couplers, light cables, instruments, and power equipment on one account, so a dim image gets traced to the real cause instead of guessed at.
We handle the logistics
Courier pickup and return across Southern California, and a prepaid label anywhere else in the country. Nothing goes on your freight account.
We will tell you to stop
When a device is not worth rebuilding, we say so. That costs us a repair order and saves you from paying for a scope that fails again next quarter.
The Owner Answers the Phone at This Scope Repair Shop
Scott Lewis owns the business and takes the calls. When something is late, when a quote needs explaining, or when a device turns out to be worse than the description suggested, you talk to the person accountable for it rather than to a ticket queue.
