Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026

Agreement to These Terms

These terms apply to your use of endoscoperepaircompany.com and to repair work performed by Specialty Surgical Services. By sending us equipment or approving a quote, you agree to them.

Where your facility has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement controls if it conflicts with anything here.

What We Do and Do Not Provide

We perform inspection, testing, repair, and refurbishment of medical scopes, cameras, light cables, surgical instruments, surgical power equipment, and ultrasound probes. Work is performed on the equipment you send us and returned to you.

We do not provide clinical advice, and nothing on this site is a substitute for your facility's own policies on reprocessing, sterilization, device tracking, or patient safety. Decisions about whether a device is fit for clinical use rest with your facility.

Independence From Equipment Manufacturers

Specialty Surgical Services is an independent repair provider. We are not authorized by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to any equipment manufacturer.

Manufacturer names, model designations, and product family names appear on this site only to describe the equipment we service. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Repair by a third party may affect coverage under a manufacturer warranty or service agreement. Confirming the status of any coverage on your equipment before sending it to us is your responsibility.

Evaluation, Quotes, and Approval

Evaluation of equipment you send us is free. After the evaluation we provide a written quote describing what we found and what the repair involves.

No repair work begins until you approve that quote. If you decline, the equipment is returned to you in the condition it arrived and you owe nothing for the evaluation.

If we open a device and find damage that materially changes the work required, we will stop and issue a revised quote rather than proceeding. A quote is valid for the equipment described in it and may be reissued if the device condition changes before work begins.

Payment

Approved repairs are invoiced to the facility or organization that authorized the work. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.

Equipment is returned on completion of the repair. Where an account is significantly past due, we may hold further work until the account is settled.

Shipping, Collection, and Risk of Loss

For facilities inside our Southern California service area, we collect and return equipment ourselves. For facilities elsewhere, we provide a prepaid shipping label.

You are responsible for packing equipment adequately for transit and for keeping any device that has failed a pressure test out of further reprocessing before it reaches us. Damage caused by inadequate packing is not our responsibility.

Risk of loss in transit follows the party that arranged the carriage for that leg. Once equipment is in our possession we are responsible for it until it is handed back to you or to the carrier for return.

Uncollected Equipment

If a quote is declined or a repair is completed and the equipment cannot be returned because we cannot reach you, we will make reasonable attempts to contact the facility using the details provided.

Equipment left with us for an extended period after those attempts may be treated as abandoned in accordance with applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any repair is limited to the amount you paid us for that repair.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, cancelled or rescheduled procedures, or the cost of substitute equipment.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Your Responsibilities Before Sending Equipment

Equipment must be cleaned and decontaminated in accordance with your facility's policy before it is collected or shipped, and any device that has been exposed to a known hazard must be identified to us in advance.

You are responsible for confirming that you have the authority to send the equipment for repair and, where relevant, that doing so is consistent with any lease, loan, or service arrangement covering that device.

Website Content and Accuracy

The content on this site is provided for general information about our services. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that every description is complete or error free, and site content is not part of any quote.

The site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Governing Law and Changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with the date shown at the top, is the version that applies. Questions about anything on this page can go through the contact form or the phone number listed there.
